this is a small post for you as an applicant to our tech team to give you an overview of how tech works at montamo. I’ll share our internals as transparently as possible so you can check if you’d like to contribute to our vision.

But first things first: It’s great to meet you, thanks for your interest in montamo! We’re looking forward to getting to know you!

Why we hire

We as a European society are pretty bad off when we don’t manage transforming our households to use green energy - in Germany alone, there ~41.1m households! There are many players in the market that have mastered demand generation. People are aware of the problem and people buy solutions to those problems. PV-systems, solarthermics, heatpumps, wallboxes, energy storage, insulation, etc.

But no one has thought of who actually installs those solutions…

That’s were montamo comes in that has mastered not only in installing those solutions but also training its own talent in a very lean and effective way. We are essentially closing the supply gap in the European market.

To efficiently run our operations, we need software. We are using state-of-the-art software to fuel them but there is no standard software for every case. So we need to build our own and for that we need a team - incl. you as a potential team member.

We hire to build software that is ultimately the enabler to install home energy solutions at scale.

With the team that we build, we will be able to build those simple to use, yet powerful solutions to use existing resources as efficient as possible.

When we hire

Our vision is great, the size of our product backlog is greater. There will always be a reason to bring new talented people on board. But we will only do so when we feel a pain that we can’t meet the business needs with our current capacity.
